What can you expect?
Ideal for students and early career artists, the workshop offers an introduction to different producing models and key aspects of the role: sourcing your creative team, fundraising, finance, tour booking artist development and pastoral care.
Participants are offered an insight into the basics of fundraising, writing applications and managing budgets.
We look at marketing; choosing the right social media platforms, building successful campaigns and audience development. Whilst also offering tips on approaches to gaining Press and PR coverage.
We discuss how to develop relationships with partners, offering practical tips on how to make yourself standout when pitching work to venue programmers.
The session finishes with a scheduling exercise, through which participants are given a working timeline for a 7 month project so they can see how a professional company sets up a project and works to deadlines.
