This Spring, invigorate your practice with workshops and 1-1s that are sure to get you thinking about your creative practice!
We’ve got fundraising, we’ve got freelancing – and we’ve got advice sessions with our lovely Sarah Emmott.
We can’t wait to see you there!
Where did Artist Brew Day begin?
Built on the concept that mentoring and advice occurs when emerging artists approach established artists ‘for a brew’, several years ago we flipped this by inviting artists into our office for free advice. We are so thankful to all the artists who have helped us that we wanted to pay it forward to others one advice session and workshop at a time.
We’re often asked for fundraising tips, so we’ve created this crash course on arts funding! Sarah is Art with Heart’s lead fundraiser and has been arts fundraising for over a decade. She has raised significant funds via the different avenues she will cover in this workshop.
This 2 hour workshop will cover:
This workshop will be an overview of these four ways of funding with practical skills that you can immediately apply.
Wednesday, June 18th, 10-1pm.
We’re often asked by new freelancers for advice about making good foundations and habits so we created this crash course to arts freelancing! Sarah has worked as a freelancer for the past 20 years and hopes this workshop helps people to avoid the pitfalls she has experienced!
This 2 hour workshop will cover:
This workshop will have practical actions that you can immediately apply.
Thursday, June 19th, 10-12 pm
Have a chat with Sarah to discuss fundraising, producing, making, access or facilitation.

How to book: Email hello@artwithheart.org.uk with your topic and preferred time slots. Please include as many times as possible so we can do our best to fit you in. Slots will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Will you provide a BSL Interpreter?
As this is a Pay What You Can workshop, we have not booked a BSL interpreter. If you require one we are more than happy to arrange this for you. Please get in touch ASAP so we can organise this: hello@artwithheart.org.uk.
How much does it cost?
Our 1-1 advice sessions are free to attend. We understand that money is tight so we’re asking for a pay what you can contribution towards our workshops. This means that you can pay what you can afford to without judgement. We always want to keep our work financially accessible, but rarely break even, so have introduced a suggested payment scale to help give some guidance:
I can’t afford the £1 low-income price, can I still attend?
Of course, we’d love you to join us. If paying a minimum of £1 is a barrier to you joining, please email hello@artwithheart.org.uk and we will ensure you have can attend the workshop.
Eventbrite is inaccessible to me, is there another way I can book?
Yes. If you need help booking your place, you can email hello@artwithheart.org.uk and we will book a place for you.
