We are hiring in black text on a light pink background

We’re looking for creative collaborators for an upcoming project taking place across Salford between April 2025 and March 2026.

Next year Salford will celebrate 100 years of city status, to mark the occasion Art with Heart will collaborate with communities across Salford to create a podcast and public artwork.

We’re looking for socially engaged creatives with a passion for community collaboration. We know our city is chock-full of talented creatives, so if you fit our brief, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note: As a small, part-time team, we have more limited capacity than larger organisations. Unfortunately, this means we’re unable to provide feedback to every applicant. However, we will be in touch with shortlisted candidates in April to arrange a meeting. If you’re not selected this time, we can keep your CV and details on file for future opportunities.

Please note the application deadline for all roles is at midday on Friday 4th April.

Writer call out

We are seeking experienced writers with a background in facilitating workshops within community settings to lead a series of engaging sessions in Autumn 2025.

The workshops will be held in various community spaces throughout Salford, where you’ll work with two distinct groups across five sessions. Your role will be to guide local residents in creating a written piece, which will be showcased on a podcast. We are looking for 2 lead creatives and 2 assistants with roots and connections in Salford.

When we talk about writers, we’re using the term in its broadest sense. Whether you’re a poet, author, spoken word artist, songwriter, or any creative who uses words to express yourself, we’d love to hear from you.

We are in the early planning and fundraising stages of the project and would love to hear from freelancers who are interested in working with us to help shape our fundraising efforts and commitments.

Apply here: If you are interested in the role, please fill in this short form.

Fees: We’ve secured partial funding but haven’t set a fee yet. We aim to fundraise based on freelancers’ personal day rates.

Access: We’re committed to access and inclusion, fundraising for a dedicated budget to meet individual access needs.

Travel: We recognise travel costs can be an access requirement inclusive of class, being care experienced and/or financially insecure. If you have a car, let us know, this doesn’t mean you are more/less likely to work on the project. It helps us pair facilitators in Salford or adjust our access budget for transport.
