Sarah Emmott joins Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy governance enquiry cohort.

Throughout 2022 – 2024, Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy will launch a series of enquiries in relation to challenging areas of arts, culture and heritage fundraising, with a view to informing future policy and research. We’re excited to announce that Co-Creative Director and chief fundraiser at Art with Heart, Sarah Emmott is going to be part of the governance enquiry.

Each enquiry is made up of eight fundraisers working in arts, culture and heritage organisations.  They work with the wider Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy team to explore a topic of national significance.

Cohorts work collaboratively to come up with new ideas and solutions to an area of concern to the wider arts fundraising sector – this cohort will focus on Governance, exploring diverse and inclusive governance, overcoming barriers to Trustee performance and engagement.

The Enquiry will result in a short publication outlining policy ideas and suggestions for key funders.

Sarah says: “I’m so excited to be part of this and bring my personal experience to the enquiry. I’m keen to focus on the barriers and think practically about solutions to make more accessible and inclusive documents, language and environments in order to see a much better reflection of society in Trustee boards.”
