Small Voices Evaluation

Following over half a decade of running equalities workshops in schools, we were approached by Manchester City Council to create something as part of their ‘Our Year’ Programme, celebrating Manchester’s children and young people.

Small Voices partnered three Year 6 classes across Manchester City with artists and facilitators to learn about equality, equity and allyship and create a poem for a special edition of Art with Heart’s podcast, Box Tickers.

Small Voices was developed as a model to facilitate creative expression and understanding of equality in schools. Education resource packs were distributed to primary schools throughout
Greater Manchester featuring equalities activities that teachers could run in their own classes.

Read about the project, and discover the impact it had on the young people, artists and teachers in our evaluation report.
