Last month we collaborated with the brilliant team at Brave Day Productions to create a short film to mark Salford’s centenary celebrations.
The film, directed by Kirstie Henderson features The Salford Way, a poem by Matt Concannon and Jody Findley inspired by interviews with Salford residents. The poem was commissioned by Art with Heart as part of their Salford Voices podcast.
A second film featuring residents, communities, artists and local businesses provides a visual snapshot of life in Salford in 2026. This film features community members reading lines of the poem that they connect with, as well as birthday messages in celebration of Salford’s centenary of city status.
The film, launched on Salford’s big birthday, was screened in school assembles across the city as well as on the big tellies at Media City.
