We’re looking for new trustees!

We’re Art with Heart, an award-winning Salford based arts company that designs and delivers performances, workshops exhibitions and people-led creative projects for community groups, arts organisations and schools across the UK. We are Art with Heart CIO (Charity Nos. 1205611) are looking for up to four brilliant new trustees to help guide our next chapter

We’re transitioning to a charity (CIO) and are building a board that will help guide our future. We want to keep doing the work that matters, reach more people, stay true to our values and make sure we’re resilient for the long term. That’s where you come in!We’re looking for people who can:

• Bring fresh perspectives and lived experience

• Help us stay financially and legally strong

• Ask good questions and challenge us

• Support us in making the arts more inclusive, accessible and joyful

We welcome applications from people from all ages and backgrounds. If you’re excited about our work and want to help shape it, that’s a brilliant starting point. You don’t need to have been a trustee before! We’ll provide a warm welcome, induction and any training you need.

We are looking for a range of people including people who:

• Have experience in finance, HR, fundraising, legal or governance

• Live in Greater Manchester (especially Salford) and want to give back to local communities

• Are from backgrounds that are underrepresented in the arts, including Working Class, Global Majority, Deaf, Disabled, Neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ communities

As a company who have a focus on working with working class, neurodivergent and disabled freelancers and participants, we would especially love to hear from people who are part of one (or all) of these groups so our board can be as reflective as possible of the communities that we serve.
